My first thought about the cloth would be, what happened to the thread, but the answer to that is rather simple, the threads are made of cotton, which can be burned and the carbon in the cloth absorbed into the atmosphere, hence why it's important to dispose of the clothes.

I would never wear another piece of cloth again if I could find it in my closet, I've donated so much clothes over the years and I'm hoping my next donation gets through.
